What to consider when installing aircon?

There are several things worth thinking through before installation.

First is unit sizing: choosing a system that is too small will leave the room uncomfortable, while one that is too large will short-cycle and fail to properly dehumidify. Room size, ceiling height, insulation, orientation, and climate zone all affect the right capacity.

You also need to think about where both the indoor and outdoor units will go, how the refrigerant lines and condensate drain will be routed, and whether your switchboard has capacity for a dedicated circuit. If you live in a strata building or rent your home, you will need to get the appropriate approvals in place before any work starts.

Blue Mountains Air takes all of these factors into account during a site visit and will recommend the right system for your home before any work is booked.
