A standard split system installation in Australia includes mounting the indoor head unit on the wall at the correct height and positioning the outdoor compressor on brackets or a concrete slab.
The installer will drill a hole through the wall to connect the two units and run and insulate the refrigerant lines as well as the condensate drain pipe. They will also complete all electrical work, including installing a dedicated circuit from the switchboard and fitting a weatherproof isolation switch next to the outdoor unit, as required by Australian standards.
Once the installation is complete, the system is pressure-tested and vacuumed before the refrigerant is charged. The installer then tests the unit to ensure it is operating correctly and shows you how to use the remote. A certificate of compliance for the electrical work is also provided.
Blue Mountains Air includes all of these steps as standard and ensures the site is left clean once the job is finished.
