Australian law requires that refrigerant work be carried out by a technician holding a valid ARCtick licence from the Australian Refrigeration Council, and that all fixed electrical wiring be completed by a licensed electrician.
Under Australian Standard AS/NZS 3000, all new installations must have a dedicated electrical circuit running from the switchboard to the unit, along with a lockable isolation switch installed adjacent to the outdoor unit.
A certificate of electrical compliance must be issued on completion. If the property is strata-titled, owners corporation approval is needed before work begins. For properties in heritage overlay areas, additional council consent may be required.
Blue Mountains Air meets all of these requirements and handles the compliance documentation as part of every installation.
